Or Trusted Shops, or Feefo, or any of the other badges a shop this size can buy and put in its footer. They cost a subscription, and what the subscription gets you is the logo. It does not get you honesty, and plenty of shops carrying one are worth avoiding.

So there is no seal at the bottom of this page. There is this page instead, with the whole set on it and the arithmetic done in front of you: the average at the top is calculated from the reviews printed underneath it, every time the page loads. If the score says 4.3 it is because the reviews add up to 4.3.

The trade-off is fair to name. A third party at least proves the shop is not writing its own reviews, and we cannot prove that to you from our own website. What we can do is publish the bad ones, answer them in public, and never take one down because it stung. Judge us on the twos.

Only people who bought something

You cannot leave a review here without an order behind it. There is no open form, which is the single biggest source of invented reviews on the internet, in both directions - shops writing their own, and people who never bought anything writing angry ones.

How it works. About two weeks after your parcel is marked delivered, the confirmation thread gets one more email. It carries a link tied to that order and nothing else. Click it, give the piece a rating out of five, write as much or as little as you want, and it goes up under your first name and last initial.

The link only works once and only for the piece you actually bought, which is what the verified mark on each review means: not that we liked it, only that we could match it to an order. Nobody is paid, nothing is offered in exchange, and no discount is dangled for a five.
